Call It What It Is!

"Spring District Work Period", or Spring Break. Call it what you will. I not only don't get an 11 day paid vacation (April 6- April 17), I have to pay for my Congress to get one. I would think any break these thieves got would be "workload permitting". There's a term never used in the Capitol! With everything going on, and even if there wasn't, how can they justify it? Although, remember, we get the government we deserve. These things didn't start with this administration, they just cost a lot more. "Summer District Work Period", or Summer Vacation (August 3- September 4). There's another good 30 days. Well I don't get this one either, but my kids do. That means I need to make arrangements for their care if I need to do something for work. Not really a vacation for me. I know there are a lot more, but it kills me how they call these, and there are three others (President's Day District Work Period, Memorial Day District Work Period, Independence Day District Work Period) work periods! Everyone working deserves their holidays and vacation time. I just think "We the People", as employers of these people, are too generous. Hey, call it what it is, extra time off to spend the $4,700.00/ year pay raise you just voted yourselves!
