Guns are Fun!

Assault weapons, high capacity magazines, self protection, and the Second amendment. All have been in the news, and all have been used. "I need to be able to protect myself and my family". "I have a right to own these weapons". "I'm a recreational shooting sport enthusiast". Yes, yes, and yes. I agree with all of the above, however, I never hear anyone giving the "bottom line" explanation. Guns are fun! I know, they're also lethal weapons. All weapons should be handled with care and safety top of mind. That doesn't mean they aren't just plain fun to shoot! I really don't need to hear another pundit, or anti gun crowd type, tell me or anyone else what they think I do or do not need. I don't live on an island, so I really don't NEED a boat. Guess what, they're fun! I have two automobiles, so I really don't NEED a motorcycle, but (you guessed it) they're fun! The thrill of making a great shot. FUN. Going to the range with friends and shooting a variety of different weapons. FUN. Rattling off more rounds in five seconds than you can believe. FUN. Big guns, small guns, handguns, long guns (now I sound like Dr. Seuss). Variety is the spice of life and (you guessed it again) FUN! It's amazing to me how hypocritical the pro choice crowd is. I guess they are only pro choice if you're choosing what they are. I choose to arm myself. I choose to go to the range and increase my efficiency while at the same time (you must be getting tired of this) having FUN! Only an idiot would blame an inanimate object for the operators actions. Criminals by definition don't obey laws. What would make a rational person believe that passing more laws, aimed at law abiding citizens, would have any impact on gun violence. Make and pass all the gun laws you want. I've got 'em, I'm keeping 'em, and that's my choice. It may not be napalm, but I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning!
