241 servicemen killed in Beirut in 1983. The Marine Corps unit I was attached to as a Navy Hospital Corpsman then was only partially affected, although I had known some of the Marines. My half of the unit was still at Camp Lejeune waiting to replace the other half when President Regan pulled everyone out. Terrorists. Where were the apologies for this action! Fast forward to September 11, 2001. New York, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. Approximately 2974 dead on our soil. Yes, we got lots of worldwide condolences. Yes, everyone stood by us and said "We're all New Yorkers". Still no apologies for this action. Fast forward to December 2008 when Hamas began sending rocket barrages against Israel immediately after their latest cease fire expired. Now we see worldwide protests of ISRAEL? Please, never after any acts of terrorism have supposedly moderate Muslims disclaimed their radical brothers, or apologized for their actions. There should be worldwide protests against Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, not sovereign nations defending their citizenry. Maybe there are no moderate Muslims, just Muslims that haven't acted yet. I wish I had someone to throw a shoe at. Protest this!
