Challenging Gwen Moore
Someone has to challenge this do nothing Congress Woman. I live within the district and would love the opportunity to speak to these constituents. It's not that I want to cut programs, but cut waste. Cut the duplication and overlap of services. Cut off the individuals who are a drain on the system. There are many good and helpful programs the government runs, but not all the people on this dole are making an effort to get off. On the contrary, some people make a conscious effort to GET ON! Take for example the young women who know that if they pump out another baby or two, their benefits will rise. Take for example the people who play the system from a child care standpoint (everyone watching each others children while earning enough government subsidies to completely blow off looking for work). How about instituting drug and sobriety tests for ALL people receiving government assistance? Private sector employers almost unanimously require these sorts of things as a condition of employment. Federal employees are subject to random drug screens. Military personnel are subject to random drug screens. I'd say absolute sobriety for benefits, or no benefits until you complete a substance abuse program. Why should you and I pay good tax money to support people who are only looking for a hand out, not a hand up! And yes, that's called helping people. Boy, programs like that sound eerily similar to the bill proposed by Congress Woman Moore. You know, the one that wanted to use tax dollars for poor people to buy automobiles. Oh yeah, that one never got out of committee. Hm?, kind of sounds like most of the Congress Woman's proposals. I wish I had the money to challenge her. Does she even get any opposition when she's up for re-election? Anybody got $25,000.00 to donate?
