Hypocrisy as expected!

Just a few quick thoughts as I stew in my own juices for yet another day. Has anyone seen the pictures of the National Mall once everyone left the inauguration? Let's just say I've seen cleaner sites after a rock concert. Now granted, not everyone in Washington for the inauguration was a far left whack job, but those who weren't were definitely in the minority. For the all the global warming, carbon footprint reducin', green livin', reduce, re-use, recycle crowd, I say "what the f***?". What did they have, like 7,000 port-a-johns and no garbage cans? The only thing missing from the picture I saw was a red man (it's ok to say that, Rev. Joseph Lowery did) with a tear running down his cheek. I'll listen with my hand the next time someone says something about me drinking water from a plastic bottle, "a thousand years in a landfill, blah, blah, blah....". Pretty hypocritical. Does anyone remember fours years ago when the left was saying President Bush shouldn't even have an inauguration, let alone spend taxpayer money on one? I don't know about the final costs of the 2009 Obama fest, but I believe it was pegged around $170 million. I have to think that number was out before they realized the massive clean up effort that would need to be undertaken! Funny, no chorus rang out against that. More hypocrisy. Although, to be fair, private donations do help fund a very small portion of every President's inauguration festivities. A chilly reception on a chilly day is one thing. When even MSNBC analysts mention the lack of class, it's gotta be bad! As President Bush and Vice President Cheney were being introduced they were met with what I can only call a rousing serenade of boos. I think I even heard a "nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, good bye" chant. This, of course, was coming from the compasionate, tolerant liberals making up the majority of the crowd. Kind of unbelievable after what has been termed by both sides of the aisle as one of the more classy, cooperative transitions in history. You can bet there were no missing "O's" from the computers in the White House this time either. Jeesh, such hypocrisy! One more for now, and this was actually kind of cool. President Obama stood with Vice President Biden this afternoon as Biden swore in the administrations cabinet. Immediately after the swearing in ceremony, the President informed them all that he was freezing their salaries indefinitely! The cool part is that he waited for Biden to swear them all in before telling them! Nothing like a captive audience to keep people from running for the hills (to private practice that is). Oh, there was one exclusion to the salary freezes, the President! Hypocrisy in action right there baby!
