Total Recall of Hypocrisy.
A new sci - fi movie? Nah, just the day to day politics of Wisconsin's Dem's. It really amounts to little more than political "do overs". Lost an election? Don't like who won? Well if the many public and private labor unions are behind you, you've got your frivolity funded! Recalls aren't even pretty when they're warranted. We've got to amend the minimums for allowing a recall. Criminal maleficence, theft, disgrace of office, whatever. I think I can let Mike Tate, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, make both my case against frivolous recalls and public sector unions. Of course, I'll also be here to decipher for you what he's saying. "There are myriad suitable reasons the public {public sector union members} may wish to pursue a recall that are beyond the scope of law {cuz we don't like him, cuz we said so, etc}. Just reasons for recall include if an elected official baldly deceives the public during his or her campaign about what he or she will do in office, {we will now be holding candidates responsible for doing things they didn't talk about? I guess I was wrong in thinking it was for not doing the things they did talk about}, violates the public's trust by ramming through legislation {winning majority votes in both the Senate and Assembly} that degrades the states standards and traditions {gives the power to negotiate with taxpayer money back to the taxpayer}, shows increasingly bad management skills {translation: not bending over for the unions} and panders {really? A union flack, Democratic Party Chairman just used "pandering"?} to special interests at the expense of the people {tax breaks for buisness owners, union or not, who expand into Wisconsin}.Ok, here's the kicker, none of the twisted words he stated above as reason for a recall would ever be near enough to get someone fired from a union job. We had an election, jeesh! Can't wait for 2012? Me either, we can all vote to repalce what we feel were mistakes.
